I met Aimee and Alex when we were all running track together for BYU. They are honestly the sweetest and goofiest people ever. I was so excited when they asked me to be their photographer, and I absolutely loved shooting their engagements. They chose Big Cottonwood Canyon for their location and it did not disappoint. A beautiful couple with a beautiful Fall backdrop.
How much they adore each other was obvious from the start. Alex’s googly eyes at Aimee throughout the shoot just about killed me. The freaking cuddliest, cutest pair. Just see for yourself.
Is this shot cheesy? Maybe…but the fall colors mixed with green pine trees are so beautiful here. And I like it. So here it is in the blog. And here you are looking at it.
What did I tell you? The freaking sweetest couple. All the sweet kisses and all the tight hugs all shoot long.
This field is tucked in the back of another field in Big Cottonwood, and it’s one of my absolute favorite places to shoot in Utah. The colors of the trees + mountains + field together are to die for. Not to mention the light flows perfectly into the field. Ugh. I love it.
I did not pose them how they are in the next two photos, and I love what they were doing. It was so them. Every time I turned away to change a battery or lens, Alex’s head would just flop onto Aimee’s shoulder.
And if you haven’t noticed through my blogs, I love a good hugging picture. At some point in my shoots, I always tell my couples to just hug each other real tight and take a moment together. It’s simple, and not the “instagram shot”, but it’s usually one of my favorites, for obvious reasons.
And then things started getting realllll spinny at the end of the shoot.
And then we ended with a big kiss in front of a tiny moon. And it was amazing. OH, and can we take a minute to love on Aimee’s cute, red dress with tiny white, floral details. That was also amazing.
