Abby + Jordan: Sand Dunes Engagements

My beautiful Abby + Jordan. These two had their engagement session with me down in Utah, and chose the Sand Dunes for their location. We drove down from Provo together, and made a stop along the way to the dunes in a big open field with little desert flowers poking out of the ground. The burnt, desert-y field was showing off for us when we were there, and it didn’t hurt that Abby’s dress perfectly complemented the golden grass.

We got to start the session off with harsh light at the end of the afternoon. I know a lot of photographers shy away from harsh light, but having a bit of your session in brighter lighting honestly just rounds out your gallery. Which is why I like to stop at a location along the way to my couples’ main location just before golden hour. Photos taken in harsh light can be so beautiful. I think it adds a pretty diversity to the photos in Abby + Jordan’s gallery.

I loved every second of running around with these two. They are the cutest little pair and I am so happy I got to meet them and hear about how they met, their dreams, and their goals for marriage.

Somethin’ about a good black + white photo…just hits differently. Give me all of the black + white forever and ever.

Abby + Jordan, thank you for being yourselves at our session and allowing me to make you feel comfortable. I will never forget your cute little bums rolling around in the sand together. And to any couples getting ready to do a photoshoot, overalls are always a good idea.
